Welcome from the Chair
of the UCLA Fund

Dear UCLA Alumni, Parents, Students, and Friends,

It is an exciting time to be a Bruin, and I am honored to serve as the new Chair of the UCLA Fund.

The UCLA Fund has been enormously successful this past fiscal year—raising over $7.4 million from 25,000 donors.  Through your generosity, as well as the tireless work of our valued volunteers and staff, we have added many more donors and greatly increased the unrestricted gifts so urgently needed across campus.  It’s exciting to be able to support so many different areas on campus through the UCLA Fund, and thank you to all who already offer your annual support.

As an undergraduate student in the 1970s, I did not fully realize all of the outstanding resources and opportunities of our great university.  I rediscovered UCLA over 12 years ago when I became a Chancellor’s Associate, and I became committed to raising awareness and funds for the University.  During this time, I’ve remained closely connected to UCLA through friends, colleagues, and fellow alumni, many of whom work tirelessly as UCLA volunteers.

I am confident that with all of our support, and the experience and vision of Chancellor Gene Block, we will build upon our solid foundation for future generations of Bruins.

Best,

Chris Bradford '77
